A Homeschool Library
There are thousands of books that I have read from books that we owned to the ones in Public Library’s we would frequent. One of my top 5 favorite places to be on this great earth is in a Library or a Bookstore. So to say that I’m a book lover is a semi understatement. You do not need to own all these books that I’m going to list. But this is my list of books that I think all homeschoolers should read at least once, but most importantly I hope this list gives you ideas. I have been planning on how I want to homeschool my kids since I was in High School. So I have had a long time to think about and work on my homeschooling library which is always growing same as this list will be.
For those of you who are interested. I will soon also be writing up some of my classes that I did and that I will be teaching my kids someday. Which will explain some of the books that might seem a little out of place for a “kids” homeschool list.
Also I just want to remind you once again to keep in mind that I’m a bookie that came from a household of bookies! So just start with where you are and pick what you and your kids will like.
For example: I was always a history lover and prefered real stories and people. So the second we could we changed into the real vs fiction. There is nothing wrong with fiction. I just always prefered and still do real books that teach you. So that is also why you will not find as many fiction books in this list as I have personally seen from other homeschoolers. Which just reminds me of the blessing and wonderful opportunity homeschooling offers. You can tailor it to your own and your kids likings. So long as you get the basics required by your state and/or county.
